Do you want to experience drifting in Japan, but either can’t or don’t want to buy a car? I may have the answer for you.
The guy in the red Silvia, Rui Ando, said he liked my other videos and asked if I’d make one of him and his friend Kyohei Akimoto.
His driving is pretty consistently awesome, so I did!
As you can see in this wallpaper I put up a few years ago, he’s no stranger to close drifting at Nikko Circuit.Comments Off on SILVIA TWIN DRIFT AT NIKKO: Rui Ando and Kyouhei Akimoto
I headed down to Motorland Mikawa last weekend (2nd of March, or 3/2 on the calendar) for the Skylines-only “32 Matsuri” event put on by Team A-Bo-Moon. Enjoy some pics of one of the raddest drift teams in Japan while you wait for the video coming out this Friday.
Don’t worry. Despite the title, there are no more crashed Hakosukas this time.2 Comments
If you enjoyed the bosozoku pics from new year’s, but wanted to see something a little bit more in the way of conventional kyushas, I have the thing for you! Here are some pics from the JCCA New Year Meeting at Fuji Speedway last weekend.
What happens when someone likes Yonmeri Skylines and kyusha style, but doesn’t want to deal with rust and carburettors and a lack of spare parts?
They do this to an R34 four-door! External oil-cooler, GT-R badge, silver flake bumper vents, musical zokki horns, some SSR ronshan wheels and a Hakosuka rear wing.3 Comments
A better translation of his sticker is “Crash King”, but I like my version. I caught up with old-school D1GP driver Dart Izumi Jr at a recent Kids Heart day at Motorland Mikawa. He had an old Laurel that had been sitting somewhere for about three years that had only been started up the day before. What better way to revive an oil-drained engine than going drifting with it?5 Comments
I made another video like last week’s one. This time, its from the helmet-cam of Team Orange’s Naoto Suenaga at Ebisu Circuit’s Higashi Course. Enjoy the ride!
Just to compare, here’s a video of me doing the same course in the wet in my R32 practice car. A bit of a difference in speed, isn’t there?
