The first question to my mind is “where the hell can we go from here?”

14 CommentsYou’ve probably forgotten about the infamous Kawashima Celica by now. That wonderful bit of internet drama-bait that was the winner of the 2011 and 2012 “most downloaded picture of the year” award on Noriyaro, and the star of a badly-shot Youtube video that has over 3.6 million views.
Well, it’s back. Even wider, lower and more cambered than before. Here it is, sitting at a panel shop somewhere in Tokyo, awaiting some final touches.
More to come.
9 CommentsYou know you want to see more of the Kawashima Celica.
85 CommentsApparently, Kawashima visited Newstyle and said that Niiyan hadn’t cut enough of the fender, and the wheel wasn’t sticking out far enough. This was the result.
For those who were asking, yes the tyre holds air and no, those aren’t custom double bead wheels, just standard Leon Hardiritt Bugels.
14 CommentsRemember the crazy FF drift, slammed, onikyan Celica driven by Drift Tengoku staff member Kawashima? After crashing the car at Fuji Speedway, he bought another Celica to modify. This car, he insisted, was going to be at least twice as crazy as the last one.
I dropped in on Body Shop Newtype earlier this week, which is run by Sexy Knights member Niiyan (who drives the Nanagouki RX-7) where the car will be worked on to see it had come along at all. He hadn’t started it at that point, but he posted up these pics on his blog yesterday.
Needless to say, this car is going to be attention-getting and opinion-forming.
The following is a translation of the post on Niiyan’s blog. Before you ask, yes the tyres hold air, yes the car has registration, yes, Kawashima plans to commute to work in it and drift it.
Good evening everyone, let’s begin.
You all enjoyed the video from Tsukuba, right? (He’s talking about this video – Alexi)
Well, let’s upload some coverage of stuff I do at my job.
I really have a lot of stuff to upload.
First of all…
Drift Tengoku Editing Squadron!
This car is the product of his fevered dreams.
LOL
Look at the camber angle it has!
27 CommentsFirst up in part two is Goto-san’s new KP61 Starlet project streetcar. As you can see, it’s been done in the same satin green as his AE86…
21 CommentsRemember Kawashima-san’s cambered-out ZZT Celica FF-drifter seen in this post? I ran into him on the way to Ebisu Circuit at an expressway parking area a little while back. He was on his way to an NA-only meeting at Nikko Circuit.
The Celica is running a bit more of an extreme wheel and tyre spec these days though.
22 CommentsI first posted a pic of this Celica back in my 2010 Tochigi Baka post, but never had a chance to see it run.
So, when it showed up at Drift Matsuri, I thought I’d take another look at it.
