THE DRIVER’S DOOR IS STILL OK: Big crash at Honjo Circuit

Damn…
My friend Yoshio wiped out fairly heavily at Honjo Circuit today.
He was practicing ippatsu entries (where there’s only one quick feint motion instead of a big swing) at the top of third gear when he overthrew it a bit and went flying into the dirt wall on the side of the track. Luckily, he wasn’t hurt at all.
Luckily, radiator support looks fairly straight and the engine looks like it hasn’t moved much, so all the essential parts should still be OK. Yoshio has already found another old S14 zenki to swap all his parts into, so it shouldn’t be too long until he’s back out on the track again.

That’s why I tell people, the moment you take your car onto the track, consider it totaled. It will save you some tears later.
But damn, that impressive. Nearly every body panel is munged.

What corner was hitting? Was it the one off the long straight?
Honjo is generally a very safe track and free from big crashes.
