HOW NOT TO: Flat spot your front tyre into oblivion
April 6, 2010 12:46 amWant to know how not to make an 70 metre long skid mark without meaning to?
Just follow these simple steps.
Don’t drive around at two in the morning. Don’t find a bit of road that has no other cars, oncoming traffic, parked cars or pedestrians. Don’t give the speedometer a bit of a workout.
Most of all, don’t brake heavily towards a red light with TRD brakes on cold, balding Star Specs that have been heatcycled more than they should have, on a downhill bit of road with the ABS turned off.
This is, of course, simply a hypothetical guide.

HAHAHAH, Awesomw Alexi. Tire smoke, real men.
Three words, thunk, thunk, thunk !! (Did that once with some A509’s).
Dam thats a big lock up!!
That little wall on the right dosen’t look to forgiving either!
If that tyre popped , this would have been a very sad picture !!
how were you conciously driving on the street on those tyres anyway, they were rooted!
down to the wires :S burnout time?
Hectic! :/
😀 i can imagine the music from the ZipTies video with u talking about this
i assume that tyres arent really that hard to come by ’round there, are they ?
got your moneys worth on the tire atleast
So only one wheel actually stopped. What was the other doing at this time?
And what on earth was the point of this exactly?
If I saw that in Australia I would’ve thought a VL ripped a huge single legger.
ow, that surely hurt dude,
i was wonderin about ur skyline, where is it ryt now?
rob_180sx – if i saw that in Australia i’d wonder where the hell a road that good in aus was and find how they hell they got it laid down lol
considering we cant even see the red light you needed to brake for just how fast were you goin lol
Hey at least you’ve got a braking marker for next time!
@ Fury-S12 – Amen to that brother!
More speed next time Alexi…
That skid mark looks familiar… Just missing a wall that it leads towards haha
That’s how it’s done
