I saw this X81 Cresta at the recent 1JZ Meeting. It wasn’t just in the static class either. The owner actually drifted it!
Before you ask, no, I don’t have pics of that.6 Comments
This is Mr Lavender’s garage. He’s a crazy drifter and is also quite mad for KE70s.15 Comments
Nikko Circuit’s heavily cambered track edges can make for some fun drifting if you mess around with them. While it’s not something that most drivers normally do, standing near the final corner and egging them on does seem to help a bit. Here’s a few pics from a TGS track day earlier this year.
First up are Funky Racing’s Subleader and Gojappe.12 Comments
Here’s another shaky video I shot at the 86 Style event at Fuji Speedway a little while ago. I think 150 was the official number of cars in the parade run, led by Keiichi Tsuchiya in his personal Trueno.
Combined with the cars seen over in the static display, this was an amazing event for any AE86 or 86 fan to visit. If you’d like to visit it, plan a trip to Japan around the 6th of August next year! I heard from the Managing Director of Fuji Speedway himself that there’s going to be more of these.Comments Off on LOTS AND LOTS OF 86: Fuji Speedway parade run at 86 Style
So, did we all have a good 8/6 day?
First, let me apologise for the shakiness, terrible sound, and terrible picture. There is an amazing amount of AE86 and 86 related stuff in here though, so it’s well worth a watch if you’re a fan. I also have some more video that will probably blow your mind from its scale, so look forward to that as well.
If you were gritting your teeth watching this and swearing that I wasn’t showing anything for long enough, I have some good news directly from the Managing Director of Fuji Speedway. They’re planning on running another one of these events next year, and it’s only going to get bigger, so put in for your work leave right now!5 Comments

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Mark X when it first came out, but now that people are doing this sort of thing to them, I might have to reconsider.
I was out at YZ Circuit yesterday for a Kids Heart event, and went along for an extremely wet and foggy ride. While this car is nowhere near as wild as his 81 was, it’s still pretty decent, with a GReddy TD06-25G on the stock VVTi 1JZ.
I visited a Soarer-only drift event at Mobara a little while ago, but some the photos might be getting used in a magazine, so here’s a preview pic of some “Soarer life” for now.4 Comments
