14 CommentsTime for another Tokyo Auto Salon!
As usual, my pics and report are already spoken for by print media, however I will be posting live updates during the event to the Noriyaro Facebook page, so give that a like and I’ll show you some cool stuff.
It all starts early this Friday morning!
2 CommentsThere’s lots of drifting to be seen at the Tokyo Auto Salon this weekend, and that includes Tetsuya Hibino’s new Toyota 86!
4 CommentsSo, today was the first day of the 2010 Tokyo Autosalon. Like last year, I wasn’t there to cover it in the traditional photojournalist day. I was helping out the guys from Auto Salon Magazine (this causes some confusion here sometimes) with translation and things like that.
I still took my camera along though. It was only the little P6000, but it did the job.
Here’s some things at the show I thought were cool.

If you’re still wondering why I didn’t take a proper camera to Auto Salon, it’s because I was helping out Charles Kha and Mark Pakula from Australia’s Autosalon magazine (no relation to the Japanese show, but related to the Australian show), so it would be a conflict of interest if I posted a whole lot of high-resolution photos. Yep, I’m a sell-out, so buy Autosalon magazine when it comes out, because the photos and design are awesome.
16 CommentsIf you were hoping for some sort of massive coverage of this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon, prepare to be disappointed. There were already hundreds of other journalists at the event, walking around with big, expensive cameras, imagining they were the only people there from a foreign country, and giving you dirty looks when the sight of your round-eyed face spoiled their fantasy. Get over it guys, its Auto Salon. Everyone comes here.
Don’t disappoint them, go check out their coverage.
However, having a cameraphone handy meant at least a few snaps were taken. Prepare for some low-resolution goodness.
