Sort of.
It has the same engine, at least.

15 CommentsRemember Goto-san’s AE86? Here’s another couple of contenders for the title of “Most Busted AE86 Drift Car” that I saw at Okegawa earlier this week.
15 CommentsRemember Asayan’s sweet Levin coupe? Here’s some pics of it at last weekend’s HitomiGO day at Suzuka Twin Circuit.
Most of the day was wet and miserable, but at the end of the day, the sun came out just enough for me to do a “Linhbergh” as they are known in the trade.
19 CommentsMy friend Shino from Shino Kouba garage intended to spend the last couple of days practicing at Ebisu Circuit’s Higashi Course.
Unfortunately, this happened on the fourth lap of the day. Goto-san had suggested that she might want to try a fourth-gear entry on the main straight, something she’s never tried before. Sometimes not trying hard enough with an initiation can be as bad as trying too hard, according to Shino.
While the crash happened at about 140km/h from a 160km/h entry, Shino got away with just a sore neck and shoulders, and she already has another slightly rusty shell ready for all the unbroken parts to be installed in. I hope she’s not making a habit of crashing hachis…

19 CommentsI was going to editorialise a bit here, but since it was going to be unrelated to AE86s, and because my column for the UK’s Banzai Magazine is due in a couple of days and I need to save up my opinion juice, I’ll save it for another post.
Until then, enjoy the first half of Noriyaro’s coverage of the 6th of August AE86 meeting at Nikko Circuit.
27 CommentsRemember I said that I’d bring you some action shots of Asayan’s AE86? Does Noriyaro deliver or what?
The ending of the photo sequence is not quite what Asayan might have liked, however.
16 CommentsThis car really deserves something better than a few quick shots indoors under bad lighting, but it’s worth a look, all the same.
23 CommentsA couple of days ago, some rotary freaks from Belgium sent me an email asking for information about this Mazda Famila, with a photo taken by Ben from Japanese Nostalgic Car attached to it.
“Didn’t I already post a few pics of that car already?” I thought.
Sure enough, I’d posted about the Euro and American cars at the 2009 Time Machine Festival, and I’d definitely posted about the Fairladys that were there, as well as a put up a panorama photo of the meeting, but I’d completely forgotten to upload the rest of the photos I took!
So, here they are!
